“Finally Home”

Just think of stepping on shore, and finding it heaven
Of touching a hand, and finding it God’s
Of breathing new air, and finding it celestial
Of waking up in Glory, and finding it “Home”

My 97 year old Dad stepped on heaven’s shore last night and he is breathing new air in the presence of the Lord. While I could never imagine what this day would be like when my mother and family would have to say goodbye to Dad, we are so thankful that he is finally home!
Thank you, Dad, for protecting us, providing for us, and for loving us beyond measure. We always knew we were your most important priority. While I cannot imagine this earthly life without you, I am so thankful we had you for many years, and that you are no longer suffering. We miss you already, but we will see you again soon.
2 Corinthians 5:8 – Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
