So wrote John Tierney, author and journalist, two years ago in a NY Times article. He was referring to Thanksgiving and the positive effects of giving thanks.

If you’ve been reading “31 Days of Praise” you may remember we were challenged the other day to thank God for the weaknesses, moodiness, irritating habits, demands, unrealistic expectations, and unloving ways of the people in our lives. Not only is the beginning of a new year a time to make resolutions, but it is also a time of taking inventory of what went well and what didn’t go so well last year. When we remember the abundance, and all of the joy that God allows through our family and friends, and in giving our daily bread, it is easy to proclaim His praises and say, “God is good-all the time-God is good!”
