Happiness is finding a pencil, pizza with sausage, sharing a sandwich, and anyone or anything loved by you. Or so sings Charlie Brown.

Certainly those are very happy events but what happens to our happiness when our circumstances are not favorable towards finding a pencil, having pizza with sausage, or having a sandwich to share? Do I lose it?

In less than four months, I will be the mother of a teenager. That can only mean one thing – Braces! At this point, my daughter has teeth where there should be gaps and gaps where there should be teeth. Some teeth have decided to lodge in the wrong place entirely and some of them just didn’t even bother to show up! Not only will there be an orthodontist in her future but an oral surgeon as well. We will start down the long arduous and hopefully not too painful…

March 1st already?? How does that happen? We are already beginning our third month of 2013 and as we continue in our book of the month challenge, we have chosen Tim Keller’s King’s Cross. Since Easter is March 31st, we felt that this was a terrific choice to prepare our hearts to encounter the King of the cross!
